A feature launch film that makes an autonomous AI assistant feel capable, approachable and safe. The central idea was to turn the autonomous model into a calm, friendly helper. The film shows useful capabilities without framing the technology as distant, uncontrollable or intimidating. Trust had to come before depth. By beginning with a human feeling and revealing the functionality through simple situations, the script makes the feature approachable before asking the audience to process its technical scope.

Starting Point
In early 2026, Perplexity introduced Perplexity Computer—an autonomous model designed to complete tasks across tools. That independence was also the communication challenge: the more an AI can do on its own, the more users want to understand what remains under their control.
The film needed to introduce the feature to a broad tech audience, communicate its range quickly and reduce the uneasy, overly technical feeling often attached to autonomous AI.
